Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sudoky ("the App", "we", "our") collects, uses, and protects information from users ("you", "your") who use the Sudoky mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects only the following technical data necessary for the service to function:
- Anonymous device identifier: a randomly generated unique code to identify the device and enable multiplayer features and leaderboard
- Nickname: a name chosen by the user (optional) to display on the leaderboard and in multiplayer challenges
- Push notification token: to send notifications about multiplayer challenges and daily challenges
- Game data: scores, completion times, number of errors, hints used, and difficulty of games played
- App preferences: theme (light/dark), live validation, language
2. How We Use the Information
The collected information is used exclusively to:
- Enable multiplayer features (challenges between users)
- Maintain the global and weekly leaderboard
- Send push notifications related to the game (challenges received, daily challenge available)
- Save game history locally on the device
- Maintain user preferences
3. Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.
We use the following third-party services for the App to function:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): for sending push notifications. Google may collect the device token according to their privacy policy
- Self-hosted backend: game data is stored on a server we manage (PocketBase) and is not shared with other services
4. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored in two ways:
- Locally on the device: preferences, game history, device identifier (via SharedPreferences)
- On our server: nickname, push tokens, game data for leaderboard and multiplayer
We adopt reasonable security measures to protect information, including:
- Encrypted HTTPS communication between the App and server
- Application secret to authenticate API requests
- Protected and limited backend access
5. Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
- Right of access: you can request what data we are processing
- Right to rectification: you can request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure: you can request deletion of your data
- Right to restriction: you can request restriction of processing

6. Children
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
